Creating a safe and vibrant environment for children is the first step toward nurturing a healthy future generation, and the High Court of Telangana, together with the Department of Women Development and Child Welfare, takes a step by integrating a dedicated daycare center within its premises. Conceived as the “Toy House,” the project is guided by five design principles: Nature, Joy, Gathering, Protection, and Inclusion. Organized around a central “Toy Street,” the program accommodates infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and foundation learners through classrooms, nap rooms, a multipurpose hall, and ancillary facilities, while also offering outdoor play and learning spaces such as gardens and sandpits. Protective fins, red brick hues, and Indo-Saracenic-inspired arches create continuity with the historic High Court complex, while prefabricated construction ensures efficiency and security. More than just a childcare facility, the Toy House symbolizes a progressive workplace that recognizes caregivers and children as vital stakeholders, setting a precedent for inclusive urban institutions.
