The Innovation Farm proposal envisions a farm training and food processing center in Ghana inspired by the collective lifestyle of building and living. Drawing from traditional settlement patterns of clustered community spaces, the design organizes programs around open courtyards that foster learning, exchange, and innovation. The proposal combines Mamprusi mud wall construction, rooted in local-community knowledge from northern Ghana, with modular timber systems for roofs and partitions, producing structures that are both grounded and adaptable. The earthen walls establish a permanent spatial framework, while lightweight timber pavilions respond flexibly to climate conditions. At the core, an experimental farming hub enables communities to test and advance agricultural methods, surrounded by clusters housing workshops, administration, kitchens, and reading spaces. By merging local building traditions with adaptable construction, the Innovation Farm becomes a shared civic spaceāa prototype for sustainable, community-led agricultural futures.
