This project reimagines Delhi’s Pragati Maidan as a civic stage where culture, performance, and architecture converge. Drawing from India’s traditions of music, dance, and drama, the design choreographs movement through voids that serve as atria, pause points, and adaptive venues shaped by light and shadow. These voids stitch interior and exterior spaces into a continuum of people, pace, and place. Structurally framed by concrete cores and steel spans, the center integrates passive cooling stacks, photovoltaic roofs, double-skin façades, and rainwater harvesting. Architecture becomes both backdrop and performer, sustaining timeless cultural expression through evolving spatial choreography and ecological responsiveness.
